COMPANY HISTORY

The Clawson Group has been doing business as Mortgage Bankers specializing in commercial real estate services since 1979. John A. Clawson together with his son John (JR) A. Clawson Jr. organized the business. JR and Gregory W. Strong became principals of the company in 1991 and co-owners in 1996 at the retirement of John Sr. JR serves as President and CEO and Greg as Executive Vice President and CFO. In January 1997, Craig Rowe joined The Clawson Group as Senior Vice President and Partner of the Idaho Office. Also joining the company operations in January 1997 was Brent C. Davis as Vice President bringing 23 years of real estate expertise to the company. 

Our newest addition to The Clawson Group team in March 2001 was Jim Robertson.  Craig, Brent and Jim are members of the production/ underwriting team. 

Through a select group of lenders and investors, the company provides a wide range of financing alternatives. We tailor financing packages to meet the specific requirements of each property while providing sound investment opportunities to a broad based group of lenders.

The company serves the states of Utah, Nevada and Idaho. Our principle office is located in Salt Lake City with additional offices in Las Vegas, Nevada and Boise, Idaho. Our territory is serviced from the Salt Lake City office where the underwriting, processing and lender selections are centered. We have found over the years of experience that this centralized process gives us complete control from origination through closing to servicing the loan. The company's experienced underwriting, processing, closing and servicing team gives quick response to both our clients and lenders resulting in very high closing rate of exceptional loans.
